Arcimboldo's exhibition in Paris
There is currently an exhibition at le Musée du Luxembourg, from September 15th 2007 until January 13th 2008, that shouldn't be missed!
Giuseppe Arcimboldo (1526-1593). You probably doesn't know this name but you sure know his paintings.
I remember looking at them in my middle-school litterature book and it always scared and fascinated me at the same time.
So Arcimboldo's specialty was portrait made of objects like fruits, vegetables ect.
When his work was re-discovered in the early 20th century, many considered him to be the pioneer of modern art.
