Two Days in Paris coming out on DVD
Do you remember the excellent movie "Two Days in Paris"?
The DVD is coming out in France on January 23rd.
If you haven't watched it, here is a quick synopsis:
Marion is a French photographer who pays a two-day visit to Paris with her neurotic American boyfriend Jack. Once they arrive there, they will have to face some challenges such as meeting Marion's parents and several of her ex-boyfriends. (Wikipedia.org)
The storyline might seem familiar but this movie is anything but franco-american cliche. It is just how things happen in France and how people behave. It is actually very realistic and can be seen as an interesting movie from a sociological aspect.
Some details:
- Marion's parents in the movie are Julie Delpy's real parents and they are actors.
- Julie Delpy wrote the script, made the movie and produced it.
- She has wanted to go behind the camera for years but she couldn't find a topic that would find enough investment so she decided to tell a story she knows very well since she has been leaving in the US for years: a love story between an American guy and a French girl.
