Warhol’s Wide world
The Grand Palais in Paris is dedicating an exhibition to the "Grand Monde d'Andy Warhol" until 13th July 2009. More than 250 portraits are on show. With this series Warhol draws a complete picture of society and establishes a new form of artistic, serial, almost industrial production.
He has painted the portraits of Marilyn Monroe and her rival Liz Taylor, fashion designers like Yves Saint-Laurent or Sonia Rykiel and many others that need to be seen...
